A Facist Australia

I don't know how this happened but three days ago our Prime Minister had been declared
'missing'.

Tony Abbott had seized control using a large supporting group that he had slowly and subtly been building up. Like a sneeze you don’t really notice what was happening until it happens and then suddenly there’s snot everywhere. Lovely analogy, I know, but that’s pretty much what we’re dealing with here.

Tony Abbott has labelled a large majority of the population as “threats”. Oppression of women, same-sex couples, and people of colour, has begun. Its crazy! First we approve of same-sex relationships, then suddenly it is against the rules?! That is unfair for all people whom take part in this association. Tony Abbott is forcing upon the nation his ideals of everyone having a perfect family in a perfect society. According to him, this means that every family should have a mother and a father, and that the woman should stay at home to take care of the children whilst the men go out to work. I wonder who’s going to be working while he gets the men to go off and fight in the war he is inflicting then? He will lose many supporters, for the good! Abbott has also created a law saying that everyone must go to Church at least once a week and practice of all religions other than Roman Catholicism has been prohibited.

Propaganda has infected the television, radio, and Internet. They are trying to brainwash us into believing that Australia is the “supreme nation” and that we “must appear strong”. I can’t even watch a YouTube video without that rubbish popping up in my face. News online, on the television, and in the papers, seems to have been corrupted. There has been no spread of the shooting of protesters that I witnessed whilst driving through the city yesterday. We see what, and only what, Abbott wants us to. He has caused such destruction upon our country! If he had not even look at the top 3 lists of the most powerful nations, we are not even close.

That brings me to the reason why I’m writing this. I am no saint and I am no Ghandi but I have a future visual of what the people of our country will be lead to; a depressed, in debt, poor and starving community. As I am taking great risks to deliver the world insights of how my country has come to be, I believe that we need to share what we know with each other, and with the rest of the world, because we’re not going to get truth from anywhere else.

Soldiers patrol the streets of Adelaide. Tony Abbott announced that this was for our protection and to show the nation’s strength. I’ve heard – from REAL people, not propaganda – about at least four attacks on citizens. People are disappearing; they’re most likely dead or imprisoned. The missing persons largely seem to be women, gay, and/or people of colour, it is my guess that any others were probably protesting or speaking against our “great” new dictator. The current approach of Abbott seems to be that he is portraying himself as a benevolent. What has our country come to be? It seems as though everything will get worst before it gets better.

All incoming and outgoing planes and boats have been stopped. This includes refugees as well as trading ties being cut off. Considering a large majority of Australia’s resources are imported this seems to be really bad idea. It is possible that alliances have been made to secure our supplies and possibly also military strength but none of this information has been revealed to the public.

During a speech that was nationally broadcast earlier this evening, Abbott- Hitler said that he was planning to expand the gloriousness (yeah, he actually use the word “gloriousness”) of Australia across the globe. This is heavily implying that he is planning to invade other countries. New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Papua New Guinea are quite close and would probably be easy to take over, but as far as I know there would not be a great amount to gain by doing so, although, it would make a clearer path to China. Since China has the largest population of any country, being in control of there would significantly increase the number of people allied under Tony Abbott’s control. America is a country that is always promoting their military prowess, and they are likely to be seen as a threat. If there is going to be a war coming, where Australia will be taking control, Abbott will need to carefully consider his approach towards America. If he is to attack it is likely to be soon, before America has time to properly prepare and gather their forces. Wars are known to deplete resources as well, therefore another disadvantage to waiting until later to deal with America would be that Australia’s supplies would, by then, be dwindling. It is also entirely possible that America would decide to attack us before then. I find it likely that it would be one of the first targets on Abbott’s list as he has made it clear that he does not like to feel threatened.

The new fascist Australia has been compared by many to Nazi Germany, and rightly so. Many of the actions that have been implemented by Abbott are consistent with those enacted by Hitler. The propaganda and the armed guards patrolling the cities are both factors that I spoke of earlier. Hitler’s ideals of the supreme race of ‘Aryans’ are reflected in Tony Abbott’s view of families and gender roles. Another similarity is one that I didn’t mention before, as it has not yet been implemented. Abbott has called for a vote on the matter, although I personally believe that the supposed “vote” is only to get people on side and believe they still have some control, he needed something to ease us in to the new order of things which seemed more familiar yet I doubt he would actually give up any power, meaning that it would not have any affect on the actual decision. I got a little off-track there, didn’t I? He wants to implement training for what he calls the “Young Australian Army” (*cough* more like Abbott Youth) where children from ages 8-18 will be trained like soldiers. He is presenting it as “A way for young Australians to learn loyalty and a way to defend themselves and their great nation” and assures us they will not be doing any “actual fighting” (and there’s no way a politician could ever lie to us!).

Of course, there are many differences in the modern world to in the time of Nazi Germany. There are many more forces opposing Abbott than there were for Hitler. Hitler was able to gain support from a lot of the citizens, whereas today people are a lot more suspicious of government and authority figures. There are still some negative views of Tony Abbott from his time as Prime Minister, which are likely to be hurting his image. Today we also have the internet (bask in it’s radiance), a method of high-speed communication connecting us across the world. It can remind Australians what people all over the world are like – they’re not bad people! They aren’t going to want to go to war or claim they’re better than them! And while official news sources may be under Abbott’s control, there are many people sharing their own views and opinions, as I am now, combatting against the propaganda and Tony Abbott’s words. While he could choose to disconnect the nation from the Internet, it would put us at a serious disadvantage, not the message he wants to portray for our supposedly “greater land”. The people are really reliant on the Internet, we use it for everything! Disconnecting us would be a sure-fire way of getting everyone to turn against him, definitely not what he wants.

That’s all I know for now, I will try to keep updating as events unfold. Remember, our most reliable source of information is each other. One of the main concepts of fascism is the leaders keeping the citizens uninformed. That’s why we need to use what we have to do what we can and stand together.
